About the Event
Yogi Dance Party (2 hrs): A yogic and musical journey with silent disco headphones that sets the soul free. I produce electronic music live, through looping; playing native instruments (hand drum, native flute, digeridoo, cartels, singing bowl, shaker etc.) mixed together with provoking kick drums, synth bass lines, and more. At the same time, I guide everyone through some intuitive yoga flows, these instructions are delivered rhythmically, and poetically (Rap Yoga!), then lead into free form ecstatic dance. I freestyle sing and rap about the spiritual journey of life and encourage group participation through soulful call and response tonal singing. The journey concludes with a return to earth as the music calms down into a deep shavasana, as I deliver gentle meditative instructions for grounding.
